A Woman Who Wears Various Caps
Inspired by a ca. 1909 postcard in my collection by French publisher Lucien Levy. The original caption was "Coiffe réthaise," or headpiece from the Île de Ré. It signifies that she is unmarried (I think). But perhaps marriage is not on her mind? Perhaps she has other plans in mind?
